In the Spring, Colm visited RTÉ Radio 1 for the first in a musician curated series called In Session. Myles O’Reilly captured the event beautifully featuring Colm’s song “The Finnish Line”.
This Fall, Colm is bringing tunes from And Now The Weather to both America & Australia. First up are some gigs in New York City – 16 September at Rockwood Music Hall & 20 September at the Scratcher. Then in October he will perform 2 shows at the Melbourne Music Festival on the 16th & 17th! More information and ticket links to all gigs can be found here.
Colm will compose an original score for “A Poet’s Rising”, six poems commissioned by The Irish Writers Centre as part of an arts project to commemorate the 1916 Rising. These six poems will be written and performed by some of Ireland’s most influential contemporary poets, including Theo Dorgan, Jessica Traynor, Thomas McCarthy, Paul Muldoon, Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill and Eiléan Ní Chuilleanáin. The performances will be filmed and released during the week of the anniversary. More information can be found at artscouncil.ie.
